Tholo

They had told us Tholo was a “small town”. Even our map that had only major places listed, had Tholo on it. That’s why we were quite amazed that Tholo was only five houses, a train station, and a campsite. It was located at the most beautiful beach we had seen on this trip so far. The campsite, although packed with Germans, was very high on our ranking, too. It was decided that we would stay there. We even spent a whole day on the beach, just to hang out, relax, and get a tan. In the evening, we would sit at the bar and enjoy the delicious food they sold. During the day, we’d lie on the beach and eventually swim. There weren’t many people one the beach because it was so small.

The other two Germans who wanted to join us never made it to that campsite. They didn’t have camping gear so they went somewhere else. However, we met them on our daytrip to Olympia, the town of the original Olympic Games.
