Croc Farm (2019)

We had been to the Croc Farm in Antananarivo in 2007 (see the pictures here) but as its so close to the Ivato airport that it’s a convenient visit when you’re waiting for your flight anyway. (Most international flights leave in the middle of the night and because of the traffic, you want to be close to the airport on your day of departure).

The Croc Farm is well taken care of and it has been extended a lot in the years since we were here. I missed the big turtles but I liked the vegetation that wasn’t previously there. I will say, however, that it’s more expensive than many other attractions (it was about 8 EUR per person in 2019) and while we were able to pay it, most Malagasy won’t because it’s the same price for them. That is unusual as locals usually get to pay lower prices so they have access to these places, too. I think Croc Farm should change that.
